New Patients

We are currently accepting new patients into our practice.   To schedule a first appointment, please call the office at (703) 241-8768.

To ensure you receive a membership slot in our practice, we encourage you to go ahead and Sign Up via our website or call a Privia Membership Advisor during normal business hours at 888.774.8428. Privia will also assist you in scheduling your first appointment.

Appointments

A majority of our patients are seen by appointments. While walk-in patients are never turned away, patients with appointments are given priority. This can make wait times unpredictable, especially on Saturdays, when the schedule is usually full a week in advance. Please call our office during regular office hours to schedule an appointment. Please keep in mind that patient emergencies do occur. We make every attempt to have you be seen at your scheduled appointment time but unexpected delays can occur. We appreciate your patience.

Prescription Refills

If your prescription has expired then most likely you are due for an office visit. We will only renew prescriptions if a patient has been seen for that medical condition within the past six months. If the patient has not had an office visit in that period of time then an office visit will need to be scheduled in order to validate the need for the medication. We are sorry but we cannot call in prescriptions for a patient after the office visit nor are we able to fax the prescription to the pharmacy or mail order companies.

If you are a Privia member, you can may request prescription refills, request appointments, access your personal health record, or send a secure message to your doctor by Logging In to your member website.

After Hours/Emergencies

For life threatening emergencies call "911" or proceed to the nearest emergency department. Please call our office number (703) 241-8768 for urgent after hours medical concerns. The answering service will page the doctor on call. If you have not received a return phone call within 30 minutes then call the answering service again and request to have the doctor re-paged. Prescriptions and prescription refills will be addressed during regular business hours only and will not be addressed by the answering service.

For non-emergencies, Privia members may also log into their member website and send a secure message to their doctor, or leave a voice message on your doctor's private Privia voicemail.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment reserves a specific time for you. If you are not able to make the appointment, please contact our office 24 hours in advance. 

Referrals

For those plans requiring referrals to specialty physicians, you must first receive authorization from your provider who is your designated primary care provider (PCP). To request a referral, please call the office at (703) 241-8768. If you have not been seen by your PCP within the past six months for the condition necessitating the referral, you will need to schedule an office visit prior to receiving the referral. We need at least 72 hours prior to your appointment to complete the referral process.
